4th of July weekend: Take BART to fireworks, Giants

BART will run longer trains this Independence Day weekend to accommodate baseball fans heading to the Giants-vs.-Houston series July 3, 4 and 5.
In other schedule news for the holiday weekend, BART will operate on regular weekday service on Friday, July 3; regular Saturday service on Saturday, July 4; and regular Sunday service on Sunday, July 5.
Independence Day revelers can connect to MUNI lines from BART’s downtown San
Francisco stations to get to the free pre-fireworks concert at San Francisco’s
Pier 39, which begins at 1 p.m. on July 4. The City of San Francisco will begin
its spectacular fireworks display over the Bay at approximately 9:30 p.m. on
July 4.
For Muni information check www.sfmta.com or call 311 to find out which Muni
lines and routes will take you where you want to go. Riders can plan their
Independence Day BART trip using the BART QuickPlanner. For all events, BART suggests riders buy round-trip tickets to avoid
lines before the ride home.
